What is Sling?
The walkthrough calls this piece the sling and adds it when one point remains after a 2-point diamond dagger. That is consistent with a 1-point cost on that menu. It was not priced a second time, so treat 1 point as the cost shown in that build, then re-read the counter in game. The clip does not describe projectile speed or ammo for the sling. Some unofficial script pages say slingshot. This site keeps the word the walkthrough used.

Select it in Loadout if it is already unlocked. The unlock path shown for locked gear is continued play and the end-of-match chest.
How do you use Sling?
Use the leftover point in a melee mix, as the clip does, or anywhere else a 1-point piece fits. Do not assume it shares the crossbow's arrow stack. That link was not shown.
