What is Iron armor?
Iron armor sits between leather armor and diamond armor in the walkthrough's list. Better armor costs more points, so iron should cost more than leather and less than diamond if that sentence is still true in the current build. The clip never says the iron number. Do not fill the gap with a guess.

How do you get Iron armor?
Equip it from the loadout armor section when it is unlocked.
How do you use Iron armor?
Check the counter. Use iron armor when its actual cost still leaves a weapon and at least a 12-arrow stack. If it crowds those out, it has the same problem the presenter avoids with diamond armor.
